What documents should come with a wholesale research peptide order?

A wholesale research peptide order should arrive with a lot number on every vial, a tracking record, and either the third-party report for that lot or a clear statement that testing is in progress. Marketing material, generic certificates without a lot number, and usage instructions are not documentation and should raise questions.

KEY FACTS
  • On the product: lot number, compound, fill, CAS where one exists, storage temperature, research-use-only statement
  • With the order: tracking number; batch report status by lot number
  • Not documentation: a generic certificate with no lot number
  • Should not be included: usage or preparation instructions

On the vial

The label is the first document. It should state the compound, the fill in milligrams, the lot number, the CAS number where one exists, the storage temperature, and that the product is for research use only. Notary Peptides prints all of these on every vial.

With the order

A tracking number at dispatch, and the batch status for the lot: at Notary Peptides, if the third-party report has been issued it is supplied as a PDF, and if testing is still in progress that is stated as such. A report that does not quote the lot number on your vials does not describe your order.

What should not be included

Instructions for preparing or using the product on people or animals. In 2026 the US FDA issued warning letters to research-use-only sellers whose websites and accompanying materials showed intended human use, citing items such as preparation guides and calculators supplied alongside the product. Documentation that goes beyond identity, quantity, storage and test status changes what the product is being sold as. Notary Peptides supplies none of it.

For the reseller’s own records

Keep, per kit sold: lot number, customer and date. With that, any later question from a customer or any batch result can be traced in both directions.

Frequently asked questions

Is a certificate of analysis always included?

At Notary Peptides, the batch’s third-party report is shared against the lot number once issued; if testing is in progress, that is stated rather than substituted with a generic certificate.

Does the invoice list the lot numbers?

Lot numbers are on the vials and the batch documentation; ask the supply team if you want them repeated on the invoice.

Can I get the report before the kit arrives?

If it has been issued for that lot, yes, by quoting the lot number.
